Lisa D. Jentzen is a family law attorney with the knowledge, experience and strong advocacy skills to represent you in any family law issue.  Ms. Jentzen has represented clients in the area of family law for 10 years, and prides herself on compassionately and skillfully guiding clients through what is often the most difficult time in their lives.

Ms. Jentzen brings to her family law practice a strong background in academics along with extensive professional experience.  Ms. Jentzen obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California at Santa Barbara.  She went on to law school at Pepperdine University School of Law in Malibu, and thereafter successfully sat for and passed the bar exams in New York, New Jersey and California.  She is also licensed to practice before the United States Supreme Court. 

Ms. Jentzen is a member of the State Bar of California, the Desert Bar Association and the Riverside Bar Association.  She is active in the Desert Bar’s Family Law Section Committee, and is the editor of the committee’s newsletter.  Ms. Jentzen is also a member of the Warren E. Slaughter Inn of Court, a professional organization that fosters excellence in professionalism, ethics, civility and legal skills. 

Ms. Jentzen has practiced extensively in the area of family law for 10 years.   She also has experience in the civil litigation arena, having handled such diverse matters as business litigation, estate and probate litigation, employment litigation, contract cases, real estate litigation, as well as landlord-tenant matters, wills, workers compensation, personal injury and real estate closings.  Having exposure to a wide array of legal topics has served her well in her family law practice, as there is often cross-over with other areas of the law in a divorce case, such as with the division of a family business or the transfer of real estate.

Ms. Jentzen is an adjunct professor with Kaplan University, where she teaches legal courses for paralegals.  Ms. Jentzen also serves as legal counsel to the U.S. Marine Corps  Scholarship Fund, Inc., a non-profit organization that raises funds and provides college scholarships to U.S. Marines, many of whom are wounded combat veterans. The firm is a member of the Palm Desert Chamber of Commerce. The Jentzen family resides in Palm Desert.
